What does alignment in these times look like for you?

I almost bailed on my flight to NYC on Monday. Fear kicked in, and “what ifs” flooded my subconscious.
My trip had been planned for months, and up until this weekend, I was looking forward to it with enthusiasm. A full-body, yes, feeling.
I planned to meet up with my best friend, who I only see once a year, to spend quality time together, watch a Broadway play, laugh at a comedy show and eat great food in between.
But when the United States bombed Iran 48 hours prior, and feelings of being on the brink of World War III intensified with high security alerts in major U.S. cities, I was spooked. Fear was running the show.
Yet, naming it as fear calmed me. This feeling was not truth, not facts, but fear.
The truth is that I love NYC (I lived here for a few years in my 20s, so it’s familiar) and I knew I would have the most soul-nourishing time with my best friend. The fact is that travel, or simply leaving your house, always comes with a level of unknown and potential danger.
This was my intuition turning on. This felt grounded, confident, even spiritual.
Continuing to let my intuition guide me, I made my way to the airport, landed in New York, and hugged my best friend. I’m now surrounded by New Yorkers living life like any other day, week, or year.
Because that is how we thrive, we let our internal compass drive us, rather than the external chaos and resulting fear. Not in a toxic way, but in an aligned way. Another full-body yes feeling.
So, what does alignment in these times look like for you?
What does your intuition turning on feel like?
What’s important to you now, and in the future?
What do you stand for? What do you aspire towards?
This week, for me, it was getting on the plane and spending quality time with my friend. Moving forward means continuing to pursue my dreams, even during times of conflict and war, and cultivating my intuition.
