Are You Planting Your Seeds?

Spring has a way of awakening something deep within us. The air feels different, lighter. There’s a sense of possibility that blooms along with the flowers. As the days grow longer and warmer, something stirs in our hearts and minds: an invitation to step into the world with fresh energy and hope.

I’m feeling it too. After months of introspection and stillness, I’m emerging from my own winter slumber. The trees are stretching their branches, the daffodils are poking their heads up through the earth, and the birds are chirping with the sound of life returning. Bees are busy again, and the marching band at the nearby high school fills the streets with rhythm and joy. It’s a reminder that growth is always happening around us and within us.

Spring is a time of renewal. Nature shows us the way. How the soil, rich with potential, gives birth to new life. And we, too, can tap into that energy to nurture our dreams.

So here’s the question I want you to reflect on: What dreams are you ready to plant right now? Whether they’re personal, professional, or relational, what is it that you long for most? These are your seeds—your hopes and desires, ready to take root.

Now, here's the key to planting them well: Make sure they’re your seeds. Ask yourself if these dreams truly reflect you—your values, your passions, your deepest desires—or if they’ve been shaped by someone else’s expectations. Your intuition will guide you here, that quiet, grounded knowing deep within. If you feel at peace, calm, aligned, then you’re on the right track. Listen to that.

Once you’ve identified what you want, think about how you can invite help into your life. What support do you need to bring these dreams to fruition? And, equally important, how can you offer support to others in return? It’s this give-and-take—the sunlight and water—that nourishes your seeds and helps them grow. Think about what you excel at, the connections you’ve built and the activities that bring you joy. These are the tools you’ll use to create the fertile ground for your dreams to sprout.

With that in mind, what small, actionable steps can you take today, this week, this month, to make space for help and support? What actions will allow you to stay aligned with your true self and watch your dreams unfold authentically?

The final ingredient is trust. We trust that nature will do its work, that the seasons will turn and the flowers will bloom. But why shouldn’t we trust that our own personal growth will happen in the same way? Your seeds are no different. Trust that, in their own time and in their own beautiful way, they will grow. You’ve planted them. You’ve nurtured them. Now, believe that they will flourish.

This is your season. Your time to create, to nurture, to trust. So go ahead, plant your seeds and watch them grow.
